Nature's Flavors Organic Red Apple Extract is the perfect ingredient for this fall-inspired sangria.

Overnight Apple Cider Sangria Recipe Fit for Thanksgiving

We get it, being the host for the holidays can be overwhelming! Preparing the house and food can be a lot to juggle. So, here’s an Apple Cider Sangria recipe to make sure at least one thing goes right.

This recipe is easy to throw together the night before and perfect for autumn holidays because of its cozy warm flavors. Before serving, simply pour in the ginger ale or ginger beer and give it a stir. Your guests can help themselves to your delicious fall sangria and enjoy appetizers.

How to Keep the Added Sugar to a Minimum

This Apple Cider Sangria isn’t sugar-free but with the chosen ingredients, we were able to keep the amount of added sugar to a minimum. Instead of adding in table sugar, we used our sugar-free sweetener SweetenFX, which is our proprietary blend of Stevia and Erythritol. This sweetener is our go-to sugar replacer since the ratios and volume are around the same as regular table sugar.

SweetenFX is a sugar substitute without any calories or carbs. Plus its is just as sweet as regular sugar!

The Trick for a Bold Apple Flavor

Organic flavor extracts are the perfect ingredient to have when you’re in a pinch. By using our Red Apple Flavor Extract, you can make sure the apple flavor doesn’t get lost in the mix with just a few drops. For this recipe, we recommend starting with 1/2 tsp of flavor extract. If you feel it needs more flavor, add in 1/4 tsp more!

Apple Pie Lip Scrub

Our Apple Pie Lip Scrub is the perfect addition to our fall recipes and DIY’s! We’ll slowly start to incorporate more autumn flavors and fragrances into our projects because we’re all about the season. The weather will slowly begin to cool and that usually means we get dry skin. Using a nourishing, yet exfoliating lip scrub can help shed away the dead skin to reveal more plump and beautiful lips. We decided to use our Natural Apple Pie flavor oil for this project because apple pie screams fall Lets begin.

The Process

  1. To begin, you’ll need a small mixing bowl, measuring spoons, dropper, and a spoon to mix.
a mixing bowl

2. Begin by pouring 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar onto a small mixing bowl. If you’d like your lip scrub to be a thicker consistency, feel free to add 1/2 a teaspoon more of granulated sugar. (More sugar = thicker, more oil = runnier)

3. Next, add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil into your mixture.

4. Then, add 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil into your mixing bowl. You can always swap out any of these two oils for oils that you’d like. Almond oil, olive oil, mango oil, the possibilities are endless!

We then added ½ cup of chia seeds into the almond milk. Remember to stir using a whisk! You want to make sure that the chia seeds are fully incorporated into the milk.

Once you’ve mixed all of your ingredients together, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to set. Allow the chia seeds to soak for 4-5 hours. It’s crucial you use a sweetener with this recipe because the sweetener is what will tie all of these delicious flavors together. We used agave but you can use any sweetener you’d like!
