Manage your stress with aromatherapy

Stress may come and go, but it seems that it’ll always be a part of life. Uniquely, we all have different ways of managing our stress. However, using aromatherapy to cope with stress gives us the ability to treat it naturally. Luckily, aromatherapy is very accessible making it easy to choose what is best for you. You can use candles, diffusers, and even lotions or bath salts.

What Essential Oils Help Stress Relief?

One essential oil that we all know and adore is lavender. Not only is lavender pleasant to smell, but it calms your stress and quiets your anxiety. It has actually been proven that inhaling lavender is extremely helpful in managing daily stress. On par with lavender is bergamot essential oil. Similarly, sometimes stressful days can make us have negative thoughts, and feel overall overwhelmed. This is where bergamot oil saves the day! Studies show that filling your space with this delightful essential oil leads to more positive thoughts and feelings. Basically, it’s a mood booster. As a matter of fact, some other essential oils that you can easily mix with lavender and bergamot to make a stress-relief cocktail are:

  • Lemongrass
  • Neroli
  • Lemon
  • Orange
  • Frankincense

Just Remember

It’s important to remember that essential oils are just little helpful oils to promote our health and wellbeing, and should not be looked at as a solution to any serious medical problems. Of course, always be sure to consult your doctor if you have any health concerns that are beyond your knowledge. However, they are so wonderful and can help us cope with a variety of things! Vanilla Pretzel Cupcakes

Happy Thursday friends! We’re thrilled to be sharing @anotherfoodpic Vanilla Pretzel Cupcake recipe! Andrea and Ray, the awesome couple behind @anotherfoodpic, are total foodies. Despite having very busy schedules, Andrea and Ray still find time to bake! They shared their delicious recipe with us so here we are. Let’s begin!

Tools

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Large mixing bowl (2 bowls)
  • Mixing spoons
  • Measuring spoons
  • Measuring cups
  • Cupcake trays
  • Cupcake liners
  • Icing pipe

Ingredients

Cupcakes

  • All-purpose flour (1 ½ cups)
  • Baking powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Salt (½ teaspoon)
  • Softened butter (½ cup)
  • Granulated sugar (1 cup)
  • Eggs (2 large eggs)
  • Nature’s Flavors Natural Horchata Extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Nature’s Flavors Natural Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Whole milk (½ cup, or preferred milk)

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • Softened unsalted butter (½ cup)
  • Softened cream cheese (8 ounces)
  • Nature’s Flavors Natural Vanilla Extract (1 teaspoon)
  • Powdered sugar (4 cups)

To garnish

  • Nature’s Flavors Natural Chocolate Syrup
  • Pretzels

The Breakdown

Cupcakes

  1. Begin by preheating your oven to 350°.
  2. Prep your cupcake trays with cupcake liners.
  3. In a medium bowl, sift the flour and the baking powder together and mix. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, sugar, and salt until all the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Slowly, add one egg at a time and mix.
  6. Add Nature’s Flavors Natural Vanilla Extract and Nature’s Flavors Natural Horchata Extract.
  7. Add half of the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and mix until everything is well combined.
  8. Slowly add in the milk and mix.
  9. Now, add the other half of the dry ingredients into the mixture and mix, mix, mix!
  10. Evenly distribute the batter into each cupcake liner (½ full). 
  11. Bake the cupcakes for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool on a baking tray for 15 minutes before icing.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  1. In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and the softened butter. Mix until smooth.
  2. Add in the powdered sugar and mix for 2 minutes. 
  3. Add in Nature’s Flavors Natural Vanilla Extract and Nature’s Flavors Natural Horchata Extract.

Prep

  1. Once your cupcakes have cooled, ice each cupcake using an icing pipe.
  2. Drizzle some of Nature’s Flavors Natural Chocolate Syrup and top it off with a pretzel!
  3. Enjoy these Vanilla Pretzel Cupcakes!

Vegan Mango Popsicles Recipe

Vegan Mango Popsicles

Since the weather is getting warmer, we’re creating snacks and treats to help keep you cool! We’ve created this Vegan Mango Popsicles Recipe to help fight that heat. There’s no messy mango cutting involved either. All you need is a bit of our delicious mango concentrate to get that delicious mango flavoring. We also added some of our orange food coloring to really get that mango vibe going! Shall we begin?

Tools

  • Small dixie cups
  • Dixie cups (6)
  • Popsicle sticks (6)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons

Ingredients

The Breakdown

  1. Begin by mixing 2 cups of vanilla greek yogurt, ½ a cup of soy milk, and 2 tablespoons of Nature’s Flavors SweetenFX.
  2. Add in ½ teaspoon of Nature’s Flavors Organic Mango Concentrate and mix! Make sure that the concentrate is evenly distributed.
  3. Next, add in that beautiful natural orange food color! We used ½ a teaspoon but feel free to adjust to your liking.
  4. Now that your mixture is ready, you can begin pouring it into your dixie cups. We used the smaller dixie cups and filled them up about ¾ of the way.
  5. We used coconut shreds on a few of our popsicles but feel free to use any toppings you’d like.
  6. Place a popsicle stick in the center of each dixie cup.
  7. Freeze the popsicles and allow them to set for 5-6 hours.
