Homemade Mango Chamoy
Hey chamoy lovers! We have an awesome way to make homemade chamoy in just a few easy steps using all-natural and organic ingredients. The spice is all thanks to Nature’s Flavors Organic Mango Chili Syrup for the perfect amount of sweet and spice. And if the mango flavor is lost, just add a few drops of Nature’s Flavors Natural Mango Concentrate.
Equipment
- 1 Blender
- 1 Medium Saucepan
- 1 Measuring Cup
- 1 Dropper
Ingredients
- 3 cups Water
- 3/4 cup Dried Mangoes
- 1/2 cup Prunes Remove Seeds
- 1/2 cup Seelect Tea Hibiscus Loose-Leaf Tea
- 1/4 cup Organic Mango Chili Syrup
- 4-6 drops Natural Mango Concentrate
- 6 tbsp Tajin
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Lime Juice Fresh
Instructions
- Make sure to remove the seeds from the dried prunes. Now, add water, hibiscus flowers, mangoes, prunes, mango chili syrup, mango concentrate, salt, tajin, into a small pot.
- Allow the mixture to come to a low boil then reduce the heat to a simmer. Let the mixture simmer for 30-35 minutes.
- Once done, transfer the contents into a separate large bowl and allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes.
- Transfer the mixture into a blender, and add the lime juice. Mix on high until smooth. Add in more water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
